
Valerie Mendelsohn, J.D.
Valerie is an experienced senior executive, consultant and board member, with more than 20 years of combined for-profit and traditional education experience. Over her career, Valerie has worked with multifaceted higher education institutions including Perdoceo (formerly known Career Education Corporation), American Career College, West Coast University, EduK, American Education Opportunities and Lake Forest College.
Valerie has extensive compliance, risk management, regulatory affairs/operations, healthcare education (with primary emphasis on nursing), Title IX, and government relations experience as well as a fundamental understanding of how schools operate, enabling her to provide institutions with solution-oriented, practical recommendations on all matters relating to post-secondary education.
During her tenure at Career Education Corporation, Valerie worked extensively with all regionally accredited institutions within CEC’s portfolio and helped Colorado Technical University obtain a 10-year re-accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.
Valerie served as president of the executive board of CAPPS, representing private post-secondary schools in the state of California. In this leadership role, she provided guidance on regulatory matters impacting schools throughout the state.
Valerie served as an alternate Negotiator at the Program Integrity and Improvement Negotiated Rulemaking committee with the US Department of Education, representing the interests of all private, for-profit institutions.

Moshe Mendelsohn, J.D.
Co-founder of Mendelsohn Solutions, where his focus is on state authorization research and analysis, accreditation, and course development.
Moshe is an avid and committed educator with over a decade of in-person and distance education teaching experience at universities and in corporate settings.
His primary teaching areas of expertise include legal research (Westlaw, LexisNexis), legal writing, and paralegal studies.
In addition to teaching, Moshe is an experienced course developer for paralegal and general education programs. It is of primary importance to Moshe that the courses he develops provide depth not just in terms of curriculum but also drive student success through engagement and retention.
Prior to Moshe’s academic career, he was a legal consultant, helping small businesses navigate regulatory requirements and filings. Moshe is foremost a problem solver who excels in applying his extensive experience to helping educational entities achieve long-term success.
